York Laboratories, LLCAS THE OWNER OF THREE BUSINESSES, RICHARD WURZBACH HAS MASTERED TIME MANAGEMENT.

Rich applied his chemistry degree and maintenance engineering background to create Maintenance Reliability Group in 1998 and York Laboratories, LLC in 2006.  York Labs has two primary purposes: to provide oil and grease analysis, and research and develop new methodologies for analysis.  The company performs diagnostic evaluation on equipment for numerous clients, including pharmaceutical and nuclear power companies.  York Labs recently developed an innovative Grease Thief™ (patent pending) tool to aid in sampling and analysis.

There are only a handful of labs in Pennsylvania who are performing this type of “condition-based maintenance.”  Research and development requires lots of creativity;  RIch notes, “I think we have at least one good idea coming out of the lab every day.”

In addition to managing these two businesses, Rich also raises beef cattle and grows hay with his father.  Despite his numerous responsibilities, Rich strikes a good balance between business and family.
